product description

Adjustable Truss Jib – Heavy-Duty Telehandler & Forklift Jib Attachment

This adjustable truss jib is a premium, heavy-duty lifting attachment engineered for contractors who need a reliable telehandler jib or forklift jib for safe truss placement, material handling, and extended-reach lifting.

Manufactured in Canada, this heavy-duty jib boom uses structural thick-wall tubing, reinforced cross-members, and true 60-inch fork pockets to deliver exceptional durability. Every load-bearing feature is fully engineered and backed by stamped drawings for safe and dependable operation.

This unit performs as a telehandler boom attachment, a jib attachment for forklift, and a purpose-built truss lifting jib designed to handle real job-site abuse.

Key Features

  • Adjustable from 8 ft → 10 ft → 12 ft
  • Engineered load ratings: 8,000 lb → 5,000 lb → 2,000 lb
  • Outer boom section: 7×5×3/8″
  • Inner boom section: 6×4×3/8″
  • Three structural 4×4×3/8″ cross-members
  • Full-length 60″ fork pockets (not 36–42″ like competitors)
  • Integrated fork guides built inside the pockets
  • Reinforced hook plate with heavy-duty lifting hook
  • Hot-dip galvanizing available for maximum service life
  • P.Eng-stamped engineering drawings included

This product serves as a telehandler boom attachment, adjustable truss jib, forklift jib, and truss lifting jib in a single, universal design.

Extension Positions and Capacities

Truss Jib Positions

Truss Jib Positions

The adjustable truss jib includes three secure pin-lock positions:

  • 96″ (8 ft) – 8,000 lb
  • 120″ (10 ft) – 5,000 lb
  • 144″ (12 ft) – 2,000 lb

These engineered ratings make this one of the strongest telehandler boom attachments and heavy-duty jib booms in its class.

Fork Pocket Dimensions

Truss Jib Fork Pocket Dimensions

Truss Jib Fork Pocket Dimensions

The fork pockets on our adjustable truss jib measure 54 inches in base length, and with the integrated fork-guide system, the jib delivers a true 60-inch fork pocket.

This immediately separates our design from 95% of telehandler jibs and forklift jib attachments on the market, which typically use only 30–42 inch pockets.

Why Short Pockets Fail

  • Fork tips stick out unsupported
  • The boom rocks forward and backward under load
  • Welds absorb unnecessary stress
  • The frame twists during truss lifting
  • Long-term bending becomes unavoidable

Our true 60-inch pockets support the forks from end to end, keeping the frame flat, stable, and correctly aligned. Load is transferred directly into the machine — exactly as a heavy-duty telehandler jib or forklift jib should function.

The result: dramatically increased strength, longer service life, and higher safety during repeated heavy lifting.

Engineered Fork Spacing – Universal Compatibility

Fork spacing is fully engineered, not estimated:

  • 30″ center-to-center
  • 38″ outer-to-outer spacing
  • 22″ inside-to-inside spacing

The fork pockets are built from 8×4 structural tubing, making this heavy-duty jib boom compatible with:

  • Standard telehandler forks
  • Compact telehandlers
  • Standard forklifts
  • Heavy-duty forklifts with wide forks

Narrow forks, wide forks, small machines, and large machines all lock in securely. This precision geometry makes the jib a true universal telehandler boom attachment and a reliable jib attachment for forklift operations.

Integrated Fork Guide

Truss Jib Integrated Fork Guide

Truss Jib Integrated Fork Guide

This telehandler boom attachment uses a fully integrated fork guide built inside the boxed fork pocket. The guide is part of the structural assembly, not a thin flat bar tacked onto the outside like many competing forklift jib designs.

The result is smoother fork entry, perfect alignment, and significantly longer lifespan under aggressive framing conditions.

Support Engagement Zone

Truss Jib Support Engagement Zone

OUR TRUSS JIB Support Engagement Zone

At full 12-ft extension, the inner 6×4×3/8″ boom section remains structurally engaged. Approximately 4 inches of the inner tube stay captured outside the outer 7×5×3/8″ boom, positioned between two welded 90-degree gussets that prevent side-to-side bending.

This area is the Support Engagement Zone. It prevents side-to-side bending and keeps the load moving through the supported structural path rather than through a single unsupported weld.

Most competing telehandler jib and forklift jib designs do not provide this support. Their inner tube hangs past the last brace, causing the boom to twist and bend — which is exactly what you see in the competitor failure example.

Competitor Jib Failure Example

Competitor Jib Failure Example

Competitor Jib Failure Example

This photo shows a competitor’s forklift jib / telehandler jib that bent due to lack of support engagement. The inner tube extended past the final brace with no gussets to hold it in place.

Repeated use as a truss lifting jib caused permanent sideways deformation well below the advertised lifting capacity.

You can clearly see:

  • Very thin tubing compared to our 7×5×3/8 and 6×4×3/8 sections
  • Short, weak fork pockets
  • No support engagement around the tube
  • No bracing to resist twisting or side loads

All these weaknesses produce a light-duty, failure-prone jib that bends long before reaching its rated weight.

Our design eliminates this failure mode entirely. The inner 6×4 tube stays engaged between gussets at all three extension positions, preventing lateral flex, twisting, and structural drift.

This is the difference between a genuine heavy-duty jib boom and a cheaply built product that only looks strong on the outside.

    Tony

Man, this thing is a beast. Got it for my telehandler and we use it every day. Super solid, no flex, no BS. I’d definitely tell any framer buddy to grab one.
