Standard 5×12 Man Basket – Urgent Framing Use Before Galvanizing

This project features a Standard 5 × 12 ft Man Basket supplied to a framing
contractor who required immediate access to a safe work platform due to tight construction
timelines.

Due to the urgency of the project, the customer requested delivery of the man basket
immediately after fabrication, before the hot-dip galvanizing process.
This allowed them to proceed with framing work on a residential build without delay.

In Use Before Galvanizing

As shown in the photos, the man basket was put into active service directly after welding
and fabrication were completed. Despite not yet being galvanized, the unit provided a
stable and reliable working platform during critical framing stages.

This flexibility allowed the customer to stay on schedule while planning for long-term
corrosion protection once the immediate work was completed.

Returned for Galvanizing

Approximately three weeks later, the customer returned the man basket for
hot-dip galvanizing. At this stage, the unit had already proven its
performance on site and was ready for permanent finishing.

After Galvanizing – Final Delivered Unit

After galvanizing, the man basket received a durable, corrosion-resistant finish suitable
for long-term outdoor and job-site use. The final product was then delivered back to the
customer and returned to service.

The galvanized finish ensures extended service life while maintaining the structural
integrity and functionality required for daily construction operations.

Project Summary

This project demonstrates how a Standard 5×12 Man Basket can support both
immediate job-site demands and long-term durability requirements.

By delivering the unit before galvanizing and completing the finishing process afterward,
we helped the customer stay on schedule without compromising safety or build quality.
