1. Who we are
ManBaskets.ca is operated by YYCFIX LTD. (“ManBaskets”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a manufacturer based in Calgary, Alberta. We design and build industrial work platforms and related equipment for business customers.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information through our website at https://manbaskets.ca/ (the “Site”). It also explains how we handle information when we respond to your enquiries.
The Site is a product catalogue and quote-request service. You cannot buy products, make payments or create a customer account on the Site. Submitting a quote request does not place an order or create any obligation to buy.

Our Privacy Officer is responsible for our compliance with this Policy and can answer your questions about how we handle personal information.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Quote requests
Our Request a Quote page has two forms: one for an existing product and one for a custom build. Depending on the form, we ask for:
- Contact details: full name and email address. Phone number and company name are optional.
- Delivery location: city and province (required) and postal code (optional).
- Request details: the product or product type, quantity, preferred finish, intended application, equipment make and model, dimensions, load capacity, fork measurements, project description, required date, and any other notes you choose to give.
- Optional files: photos or drawings you attach. Accepted types are JPG, JPEG, PNG and PDF, up to five files, 10 MB per file and 30 MB in total.
Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required so we can respond to your request. All other fields are optional.
Please include only what we need to prepare a quote. Do not send personal information about other people, or photos that show identifiable people, unless it is necessary.
2.2 Contact form
Our Contact page asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message.
2.3 Technical information recorded with form submissions
When you submit a quote or contact form, our website records your IP address and your browser’s user-agent (information about your browser and device type) with the submission.
2.4 Comments and product reviews
You can post comments on some pages and reviews on product pages.
- What we collect: the name, email address and text you submit. On product reviews you can also give a star rating. On articles and project pages you can also give a website address.
- What WordPress records: your IP address and browser user-agent are stored with each comment or review.
- What is shown publicly: your name, comment or review, and rating. Your email address and IP address are not shown.
- Review before posting: if you have not had a comment approved before, your comment may be held for review before it appears.
2.5 Direct communications
If you email or phone us, or continue a quote discussion with us, we collect the information you provide in that communication.
2.6 Customers
If you go on to buy from us, we keep the information needed for the sale, delivery, invoicing and our accounting records. Sales are arranged directly with our team, outside the Site.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- review your request, prepare a quote and answer your questions;
- contact you about your request, including follow-up questions about specifications, drawings, delivery or timelines;
- estimate freight and arrange delivery;
- process and fulfil purchases that you arrange with us;
- keep business, tax and accounting records;
- publish and manage comments and reviews;
- operate, maintain and secure the Site, including identifying spam or abusive submissions; and
- meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
4. Consent
We collect, use and disclose personal information with your consent, or as otherwise permitted or required by law. We use information submitted through our forms to respond to enquiries and for the purposes explained at the time of collection and in this Policy. Our quote forms include an acknowledgement of this Policy. A quote request is not consent to receive marketing emails.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by emailing [email protected]. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to provide a quote or continue working on your request.
5. Marketing emails
We do not currently send newsletters or marketing emails.
Submitting a quote request, the contact form, a comment or a review does not sign you up for marketing emails.
If we introduce product updates or newsletters in the future, we will:
- ask for your separate permission first;
- identify ourselves in every message; and
- include an easy way to unsubscribe.
6. Uploaded technical files
Photos and drawings you attach to a quote request are handled as follows:
- They are stored in a private folder on our web server that is not publicly accessible.
- They are not attached to our notification emails. The notification contains a link that opens the file only for site administrators who are logged in.
- Only authorized ManBaskets personnel with administrator access to the Site can open them.
Uploaded quote files are not currently deleted automatically. We review information associated with enquiries and manually remove information that is no longer required. Form submissions, emails and uploaded files are held in different systems and are reviewed separately (see Section 10).
7. Who we share information with
We share personal information only as needed for the purposes in this Policy.
- Website hosting: Hostinger hosts the Site on servers located in the United States. The hosted Site includes form submissions and uploaded files.
- Website security and delivery: Cloudflare handles traffic to the Site. Every request to the Site passes through Cloudflare’s network, which receives technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the page requested. Cloudflare uses this information to deliver the Site and to protect it against attacks and abusive traffic.
- Email: we use Google Workspace for our business email. Website form notifications are sent through Google’s email service to our business mailbox. As a result, the details you submit are processed and stored by Google.
- Shipping carriers: when we arrange delivery, we share the information a carrier needs to make the delivery with shipping carriers such as Manitoulin Transport. This can include your name, telephone number and delivery address.
- Professional advisers and authorities: we may share information with our accountants or legal advisers when necessary, and where the law requires or permits us to.
Service providers outside Canada
Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Canada:
- Hostinger (website hosting): the Site, including form submissions and uploaded files, is hosted on servers in the United States.
- Cloudflare (website security and delivery): Cloudflare operates a global network. Requests to the Site may be processed in the United States and other countries where Cloudflare operates.
- Google (business email and web fonts): Google Workspace processes our business correspondence and quote notifications. This processing may take place in the United States and other countries where Google and its service providers operate.
- Hostinger (website resources): a script on our pages is delivered from Hostinger’s servers. Requests for it may involve processing technical information outside Canada.
Where information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to that country’s laws, including lawful access requests by its courts and authorities.
You can ask our Privacy Officer, Saeed Heidari, at [email protected] for written information about our policies and practices for service providers outside Canada. He can also answer your questions about how these service providers collect, use, disclose or store personal information for us.
